What Songstats answers
Songstats brings streaming, playlist, chart and audience signals together so an artist, manager or label can see how a track is performing across platforms. It is a reporting layer: it reads what the stores and social platforms publish and turns it into a comparable picture.
What the dashboard cannot see
It cannot see which mix a label heard, which version was sent on a Tuesday and replaced on a Thursday, where the final artwork lives, or which photographer covered the release party. Those are the inputs to the release, and they usually live in a different tool.
Feeding the numbers from the workspace
Demo Room keeps the versions and the timestamped comments that led to the final mix. Label Manager keeps the A&R decision and the request for a new version. Events keeps the content created around the release. When a number moves, the material that explains why is one workspace away.
A monthly review that uses both
Open Songstats for the performance picture, then open WELX for the material: which version was serviced, which promo campaign ran, which event produced the content that accompanied it. The comparison is more useful than either view alone.
