RELEASES & CATALOG
Label Worx delivers the release. WELX keeps the material that feeds it.
Label Worx is built around getting a label’s music to stores and keeping the business side of a catalogue in order. WELX is built around the work before that delivery and around it: the demos, the versions, the artwork, the promo and the team. Neither one replaces the other.
How WELX fits
- Hold masters, artwork iterations and approval copies in one workspace before delivery.
- Run demo reception and A&R decisions in WELX Label Manager.
- Prepare promo campaigns and follow listening feedback in Promo Pool.
What Label Worx covers
Label Worx provides distribution and label services for electronic music labels: delivery to streaming and download stores, and the operational work around a catalogue such as royalties and promotion. It is the kind of partner a label uses to release consistently without building that infrastructure itself.
What has to be ready before delivery
Distribution needs a final master, artwork at the right size, correct metadata and a release date. Those files are the end of a process that starts with a demo, passes through several mix versions and usually produces more artwork than the one that ships. If that history lives in chat threads, delivery becomes a search.
Where WELX fits
WELX keeps the working material: Music Projects for the session and its files, Drive for masters and artwork, Label Manager for the demo that started it, Promo Pool for the campaign around release day. The final package goes to Label Worx; the process that produced it stays in one place.
Promo and reception in the same workspace
A label’s release cycle is not only distribution. Demos arrive, A&R answers, promos go to DJs and feedback comes back. WELX keeps reception, promo contacts and listening feedback close to the release files, so the next campaign starts from what the last one learned.
Frequently asked questions
Is WELX a distributor?
No. WELX does not deliver releases to Spotify, Apple Music or other stores. Distribution stays with your distributor.
Does WELX replace Label Worx?
No. Label Worx handles distribution and label services. WELX handles the workspace around the music: demos, files, versions, promo and team access.
Can I keep using both?
Yes, and most labels do. WELX holds the working material and the reception process; the distributor receives the finished release.
