The reel sequence is edited on a timeline
Before, building a reel sequence meant picking clips blindly. Now you have a full timeline: see the order, move clips and adjust the whole sequence before rendering.
The reel is built the way it is edited.
NERD SPOT
Every improvement without the jargon: what changed, how it used to be and what you will notice now.
Before, building a reel sequence meant picking clips blindly. Now you have a full timeline: see the order, move clips and adjust the whole sequence before rendering.
The reel is built the way it is edited.
Before, the reel feature was small and hidden inside the event. Now it has its own banner and a resizable editor to work with more space.
More editor, less scrolling.
Before, starting a reel meant entering the editor and looking for the timeline. Now it appears directly in Events and in video folders.
One less click to start.
Before, several renders could compete for the same resources and stall. Now a persistent scheduler orders them by capacity, so each job advances without blocking the others.
Each render, in its turn.
Before, rendering a reel gave no sense of how long was left and overlays were adjusted blindly. Now you see progress and control overlays before exporting.
The render, in plain sight.
Before, rendering a reel blocked editing and quality depended on the moment. Now rendering runs in the background and improves the output quality.
Keep editing while it renders.
Before, downloading event videos had its own flow. Now it uses the official transfer panel, with the same progress and control as the rest of WELX.
The same panel, everywhere.
Before, downloading several videos from an event left you waiting and blocked everything else. Now each video downloads in the background, one at a time, so you can keep working while they arrive.
The download keeps going, so do you.
Before, moving through a reel sequence played every preview with audio on top of the others. Now they are muted: you see the motion and choose without the noise.
Watch without listening.
Before, marquee selection and Drive actions could fail when an event had a numeric ID. Now selection and actions work the same with numeric or text IDs.
Numbers are IDs too.
Before, every rendered clip was left loose and had to be found by hand. Now clips are kept in a persistent library, with their storage accounted for and a cleaner view to find and reuse them.
Your clips no longer get lost.
Before, moving or selecting several files in an event meant opening them one by one. Now selection works like Drive: pick several inside the event folder and act on all of them together.
The event folder, closer to Drive.
