Both store files and both let a team find them again. If your only need is a searchable catalog with metadata, DISCO is built precisely for that, and WELX would be an extra layer. The difference appears when the material is not a release: a demo, a festival folder, a photo set, a promo campaign.
Where WELX differs
WELX Events organizes media by country, city, date and artist, with public folders for fans and private folders for artists. Demo Room handles timestamped feedback and mix comparison. Label Manager runs reception and review states. CREW adds roles for up to ten people. None of that is catalog metadata work.
