FL Studio projects, backed up with every sample
FL Studio makes it easy to start a project from a sample and hard to remember where that sample came from six months later. The .flp file stores the arrangement and the references; the sounds live elsewhere. WELX Music Projects keeps both sides of that relationship together.

How an FL Studio project is put together
The .flp file contains the arrangement, the channel settings and the paths to the audio it uses. Those paths often point to a shared samples folder, a Splice library or a recording folder. Copy the .flp to another computer and FL Studio will look for files that are not there.
The missing-sample problem
The classic failure is a project that opens with silence where the drums used to be. It happens after a cleanup, a new computer or a collaborator opening the project without the same sample library. The fix is to keep the project and its media together, and to do it before the cleanup.
