WELX

LABELS & DEMOS

SubmitHub sends the pitch. WELX keeps the demo.

SubmitHub and WELX sit on opposite sides of the same transaction. SubmitHub helps an artist reach many curators and labels at once. WELX gives a label a direct channel where submissions arrive with their versions, decisions and feedback in order. Artists can use both; labels usually need only one inbox.

How WELX fits

  • Open a reception page that artists can reach without a marketplace in between.
  • Keep a submission’s versions, decisions and notes in one thread.
  • Accept a SoundCloud link or a Demo Room track without asking for a new upload.

How SubmitHub works

SubmitHub is a marketplace for music promotion. Artists send tracks to curators, playlists, blogs and labels, and the recipients answer with a decision or feedback. The value is reach: one submission can travel to many recipients. The cost is that the relationship is mediated by the platform.

The label’s own channel

Many labels still want a place where their own audience can send music directly. A WELX reception page does that: the label publishes what it is looking for, the artist submits with a WELX identity, and the answer is recorded against the submission rather than lost in an inbox.

What direct reception adds

A version history matters when a demo is nearly signed. WELX records the version that was heard, the decision, and a request for changes when the label wants a new mix. Internal notes stay separate from what the artist sees, which keeps the conversation honest without exposing the A&R discussion.

Choosing a channel

Use SubmitHub when the goal is reach outside your existing audience. Use a WELX reception page when the goal is a direct, documented relationship with artists who already know the label. There is no rule against both, but the label should decide where the decision lives.

Frequently asked questions

Is WELX a SubmitHub alternative?

Not in the same sense. SubmitHub is an artist-side marketplace for reaching many recipients. WELX is a label-side reception and workspace tool. They can coexist.

Do artists pay per submission in WELX?

WELX does not run a per-pitch marketplace. Artists submit through the label’s reception page with a WELX account, and the label manages its reception lists within its plan.

Can a label use SubmitHub and WELX at the same time?

Yes, but keep one place as the record of decisions. Importing the same demo into two systems tends to create two versions of the truth.
